DUB MANAGER APPLICATION

Dub Manager is an application that allows you to create dubs
of your content. It is typically used to automate the process of
dubbing large numbers of archive video tapes or video file
events from one source (a VTR) to another (video server.) You
select the source, and specify the destination, click start and the
dub begins. Multiple sessions of Dub Manager can operate
simultaneously, depending on the available sources and destinations in
your operation. Once the dub process starts it can run as a
background task and the operator can tend to other tasks.
This application is ideal
for operations where content on video tape needs to be downloaded to
the video server or safety copies made from content stored on a video
server. The process is completely automated and the system will
even recognize the proper video tape is loaded by reading the user
bits, cue the tape and start playing. Routing to the proper
source and initiating recording is all done for you. The Dub Manager
application also supports external USB Jog and Shuttle Control.
